The great secrets revealed, including Champagne and French fries, and the man in Paris who sets the table when he eats alone
Greg Atkinson, a local chef and food writer, once told a story about a man he could see from his apartment window in Paris. Every night this old man would sit down at his table where he had a place setting for one. He would light a candle, snap his napkin in the air, smooth it over his lap and eat his dinner alone. He did it because these small acts are the things that we do to set a frame around our lives.
