crack grease

Tree-resin salves and balms from Pacific Northwest conifers.
For dry hands, cracked heels, and a life spent making things.

The Concept

Herbalist at a Logging Camp

crack grease draws on the deep tradition of Pacific Northwest Indigenous and settler knowledge of conifer resins as medicine — not the rarefied world of French perfumery, but something older, more functional, and rooted in the specific chemistry of this landscape. The name is direct. These are working salves.

The Materials

Antimicrobial Resins

Tree resins are remarkable materials — antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and deeply fragrant in ways that synthetic analogs can't replicate. Wild-harvested from Pacific Northwest conifers: Douglas fir, Sitka spruce, western red cedar, white pine. No synthetics. No petroleum derivatives. The scent comes entirely from the resin itself.
